DANCE LAB NORTH 2024 genomförs i samarbete med New Education for Contemporary Dance på Härnösands Folkhögskola. Kostnadsfritt för dig som är medlem, begränsat med platser!

The TRAK DANCE ENSEMBLE is a professional dance and performance company that was founded in Salzburg in 2016 and is led by Hector Palacios (Mexico), who is the Artistic Director together with the Co-Director Stella Blanc (Sweden). In 2023 TRAK relocated their base to Stockholm, Sweden.
The TRAK DANCE ENSEMBLE has performed at festivals such as the Innovations Dance Platform Edinburgh, Mozart Woche Salzburg, Tanzhaus Festival Salzburg, Red Sapata TANZFABRIK Linz and Tanečno Festival in Orava, Slovakia, and closely collaborated with theaters like the Toihaus Teater and ARGEkultur Salzburg.
TRAK has since the start worked with the choreographers Ryan Mason and Barnaby Booth, both serving an important role in defining the work of the company. TRAK has worked with institutions like the Stiftung Mozarteum, IWANSON International School of Contemporary Dance, Mozarteum University Salzburg, Orff-Institut Salzburg, Musisches Gymnasium Salzburg, Thomas Bernhard Institut Salzburg and the MDW-Universität für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Wien/ University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna. The latest collaboration was with the New Education for Contemporary Dance program at Härnösands Folkhögskola. Since the TRAK DANCE ENSEMBLE opened, it has been culturally funded by the Stadt and Land Salzburg.
WORKSHOP/
The workshop aims to give an insight into the work of the TRAK DANCE ENSEMBLE’s artistic creative process and will do so by offering the dancers a variety of tasks and methods using both improvisation and set material. The wish is to give the participants an idea of the movement language used and to provide them with the space to incorporate some of their own interests within the artistic frame set by the TRAK DANCE ENSEMBLE. The workshop will consist of dance classes given by Stella Blanc and Hector Palacios and performative research sessions where we will build and experiment with creating material/choreography.
